Tin Stone Charlotte Royale was possibly the most anticipated birth on our farm to date. Her dam, Sarah, was our very first cow and still holds the “favorite cow” title around the farm! Sarah has given us four calves and we were hoping and praying for a replacement heifer this year, especially as Sarah ages and has fewer opportunities to give us a calf to take her place when she retires. We had been waiting and watching Sarah, hoping to catch the delivery, but in the 30 minutes between checks, she calved and by the time we realized she was in labor, Charlotte was on the ground and Sarah happily licking her off!

Charlotte’s sire is our favorite bull, DC Doctor Luv. Doc has produced our very best calves to date: small, correct and with a beautiful head. We are so thankful have plenty of his semen stored to use in the future!

Charlotte was 22″ at birth and quite painted – we can’t tell who she resembles more, her handsome sire or her beautiful dam!
