We had no idea miniature Jerseys existed until we were on the hunt for a milk cow for our smaller-than-ideal farm. It was late 2017 and, at that time, we had a small pasture, a barn and fencing, but not enough pasture for a standard Jersey cow.
Enter the mini Jersey. Just one look at those doe eyes and long lashes and we were smitten! And due to their miniature size, they required much less feed and much less space… the perfect choice for us. What we didn’t know at the time was just how hard it would be to find one of these mini milkers. Weeks of searching turned into months, some days it felt like we’d never find one! But then, after reaching out to every single mini Jersey breeder we could find, one responded with a photo of a little painted cow, shaggy in her winter coat, with those beautiful doe eyes.
In July 2018, in the pouring rain, our perfect little mini Jersey stepped off the trailer after enduring a three-weeklong trip from Nebraska. Memory Lane Sarah was even tinier and more perfect in real life, and it wasn’t long after she joined our farm family that she became the very heart of it.

In 2021, we moved from our too-small farm and are now on 15 acres in beautiful northwest Alabama. We chose this place so we could enjoy and grow our mini Jersey herd, which now includes several more cows as well as some beautiful homegrown heifers.

All our bovines are registered with the IMCBR and occasionally we do have a calf or cow for sale. When we do, we typically post the information on our Instagram page along with a link to our inquiry form. We ask interested folks to complete this form to help us get to know them and, in turn, help us choose the best farm for each of our individual animals. We believe the best way to set our animals up for success in their new homes is to make sure they’ll be well-cared for and meet (or exceed) the expectations of their new owners!

Lottie has become such a nice little milk cow – she’s two months fresh and is giving a little over 2.5 gallons a day 🥰 Her milk is more yellow than our other girls, and has a nice cream line too. Pick up for Bear and Elm went perfectly – mini Jersey calves are small enough to travel in the back of a large SUV… and these two did! Their new owners came so excited for today, and with all the supplies for them to have a comfy ride home ❤️ We told them their schedule, sent along a bag of their feed, and showed them how they’re used to getting fed, then it was time to get them loaded. Bear was a perfect gentleman since he’s already ridden in a vehicle before, but Elm, since he’s never been off the farm, was a little more nervous. Having a buddy along made such a difference and Elm settled down quickly 🥰 It’s always sad to see the babies go, but these two are going to such a great farm and are going to be so loved, it’s hard to be too sad. Tin Stone Evermore is out of my beloved Lottie, aka Tin Stone Charlotte Royale (DC Doctor Luv x Memory Lane Sarah). Lottie is 42” at 3 and gives 2.5 gallons OAD. She has a lovely little udder, and gives the perfect amount for a family. She calved unassisted and with no metabolic issues on 5/22/26.
Evermore is A1A2, homozygous polled and painted. She was 24” at birth and should be around 43-44” at maturity.
Her sire is Magni, aka RRR Holdin Strong (Misty Morning Romeo x RRR Jersey Lil), an outstanding bull we were able to have on our farm last summer. He was 42” at maturity, beautifully built with a lovely head and great feet. He also had the most wonderful temperament of any bull I’ve encountered. And, based on his breeder, his dam was a small, excellent milk cow who produced well and kept condition without grain.

Tin Stone Jane Eyre is out of MJF Etta Jane Butters, bred by the author of Milk Cow Kitchen, MaryJane Butters. Etta is 40” at 14.5 years old and just a powerhouse of a little milk cow. She calved on 6/11/26 unassisted and has had zero metabolic issues since I’ve owned her – I bought her as a 9 year old and this is the 4th time she’s calved with me. Etta gives 3-3.5 gallons at peak OAD. She has a surprisingly nice udder for a 14 year old and milks out easily.
Eyre (we pronounce it eyr-ee) is A1A2, hetero polled and has just a few paint spots like her sire. She was 24” at birth and should mature around 43-44”.
Her sire is RRR Holdin Strong also.
Both these heifers have exceptional genetics and have been worked with since day two to become beloved family milk cows. We pet, scratch on and work with our calves regularly, and these girls are haltered and walked twice daily. Currently they are on two bottles a day, calf starter, grass and alfalfa, and are eating very well.
All our animals are registered with IMCBR. All our girls are disease tested (BLV, BVD and Johne’s) annually at freshening.

The ladies got beautified 😍 It may not be their favorite way to spend the afternoon, but having their feet trimmed properly is so important for keeping them comfortable. And having the trimmer come here (instead of having to haul them an hour away in a hot trailer) is fantastic for them, and for me! We’ve always fenced off the grapevines to keep the cows out, just in case they’d eat all the grapes. But so far this year the girls have been behaving themselves… and it’s actually become one of their very favorite spots to hang out since the vines provide so much shade.
