Dexter Corner May Lei joined our herd thanks to Tim O’Donnell, my good friend and mentor. He entrusted us with her when he reduced his herd in the fall of 2021 and May Lei calved just a few months later with a Doc baby, the tiniest calf we’ve ever had, DC Brigadier, just 20″ at birth!

May Lei was bred back to Doc and on November 11, 2022 delivered another beautiful painted bull calf, Tin Stone Churchill. We had so hoped to have another calf out of May Lei and Doc… but we were not able to get her to settle again. She returned to her former home at Dexter Corner with her breeder, Tim O’Donnell and we are so thankful she can have such a wonderful retirement!

May Lei is on the very upper edge of miniature and was 42″ at maturity. She was a moderate milker and gives about 3-3.5 at peak.
