Acadia’s Mabel arrived on our farm at a year old, having had very little hands-on training. We worked with her diligently to gentle her and gain her trust – and she has made the transition to a little milk cow better than we could have ever expected!

Mabel was bred with heifer sexed semen from CR Otis and surprised with an early bull calf! Mr. Darcy is absolute perfection and at just 20.5″ makes it pretty hard to be upset… he couldn’t be cuter!

Mabel gives us about four gallons a day and is becoming more trusting and quiet in the milk parlor by the day. We plan to breed Mabel to our herdsire, Rango, for a calf sometime in the fall of 2025.
